Manje AHOMKA

The Manje AHOMKA is a carefully curated yearly health and life insurance plan, designed and developed by SIC Life Insurance Ltd, to meet the diverse needs of individuals and families living in Ghana.


The product includes inpatient and outpatient services, medication, tests, diagnostics, dental and eye care up to the annual benefit in each package. Life and permanent disability cover is included, up to to the annual benefit allocated in each plan.


AHOMKA is accepted at 3,000 public, private and CHAGS hospitals and pharmacies in all 16 regions of Ghana, giving you a wide range of service provider options.

What You Get In Each Yearly Package

Each annual package includes:


1. Medical Cover - inpatient and outpatient services, tests and medication.

2. Life Insurance Cover - in the unfortunate event that the beneficiary passes away, you as the sponsor shall receive a lump sum cash payout as per the benefit allocated in the terms and conditions.

3. Permanent Disability Cover - in the unfortunate event that the beneficiary becomes disabled permanently, you as the sponsor will receive a corresponding lump sum cash payout as per the benefit allocated in the terms and conditions.

Price Increase

  • 100% increase in annual premium for beneficiaries 62 years above.
  • 100% increase in annual premium for beneficiaries with pre-existing medical condition.

When The Beneficiary Needs To Access Care

1. Beneficiary KYC: Once you, the sponsor has purchased a plan for a loved back home, the beneficiary MUST complete the KYC on their end as shown below: 

  • Type *915# on their mobile phone
  • Select 1. Insurance
  • Follow the steps as guided.

The beneficiary shall be asked to set a pin code during the KYC process. We recommend a 4-10 digit number that is easy to remember.

 

2. Hospitals: You and your loved one may select any hospital from the list of 3,000 health service providers across all 16 regions of Ghana including public, private and CHAGS.

3. Telephone Number: The beneficiary telephone number that you, as the sponsor, indicates in the subscription form at signup, shall serve as the unique identifier. At the hospital, the beneficiary MUST provide their telephone number to the hospital staff to activate the insurance.

4. DOSH Services: The beneficiary MUST inform the hospital staff that the insurance is under DOSH Services/SIC Life. Note: DOSH is a partner of SIC Life Ltd.

When the beneficiary is at the hospital, the staff will enter the beneficiary telephone number registered to the insurance, in their DOSH system and send an SMS to the beneficiary with a one time passcode (OTP). Once the code is verified, the beneficiary can proceed to receive the care they need.

To avoid any delays, you as the sponsor, must ensure that the beneficiary is aware of these steps.
